Held in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Smoke on the River built upon the 25 year history of “Steve Otto’s Chili Cook Off”, and morphed into a free community event where both amateur and professional chili chef’s competed for the title of “Best Chili in the Bay”!

This event featured not only a chili cook off with local celebrity chef’s competing, but also sampling of Tampa’s finest craft beer, live music and family friendly entertainment.

A portion of the proceeds from Smoke on the River benefited On the Job Education, an education program that serves to help disable individuals find employment in the culinary and hospitality fields.
